Two new Board of Directors were elected last night at Motorcycling Victoria‰Ûªs Annual General Meeting in Port Melbourne, Wednesday, June 24.
MV club delegates, Life Members, the entire Board of Directors, MV staff and visitors attended the AGM at 200 The Boulevard in Port Melbourne to discuss general business on notice and elect two new Board members to replace outgoing president Robert Mestrom, as well as Ron Matthews and Denise Hore.
The two newest Board members that will serve for a period of three years are Clare Nicholson of the Hartwell Motorcycle Club and Richard Loft of the Harley Club of Victoria.
In accordance with MV‰Ûªs new Constitution, MV‰Ûªs new president will be elected by the new sitting Board.
Clare has over 20 years of participation and extended family involvement in motorcycling which includes a four year appointment with Yamaha Australia as Logistics Coordinator. She is currently an Executive Assistant and Acting Board Secretary to the CEO at a major hospital.
Richard has been involved in motorcycle sport for 25 years and is still currently competing. He has been the president of HCV for five years and has been on the MV Dirt Track Management Committee for four years. He also recently joined the newly-established marketing and membership sub-committee at MV.
MV‰Ûªs Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Holdsworth, is looking forward to working with the two new Board members to continue to develop an even stronger future for motorcycle sport in Victoria.
