The 2026 Hertz FIM Trial World Championship’s visit to Sant Julià de Lòria wrapped up in style as Toni Bou produced one of the most dominant days of his career to remain unbeaten after the opening two rounds.

Andrea Sofia Rabino delivered a career-best double in TrialGP Women and Britain’s Harison Skelton moved into the Trial3 Junior championship lead with a strong and consistent showing across both races.

On another dry and warm day high in the Pyrenees, Bou showed exactly why he is chasing an unprecedented twentieth consecutive world title, losing just a single mark across both TrialGP races. The Montesa rider was untouchable from the outset, taking victory in Race 1 by a commanding 15-mark margin after a near-flawless performance that saw him drop just one point through the entire event.

His closest challenger once again was teammate Gabriel Marcelli, while Britain’s Jack Peace continued to impress in only his second season in the class, finishing third on 18 marks in a breakthrough ride at the sharp end of the field.

Further back, Spain’s Miquel Gelabert brought his Honda electric machine home in fourth, just two marks adrift of Peace, while Jaime Busto struggled to find rhythm on the steep, rocky mountain sections and had to settle for fifth on 22.

A dramatic Super Pole set the tone for the final phase of the day, with Bou lining up third after Marcelli and Busto tied for the fastest time. From there, the opening section immediately proved decisive as almost every rider was caught out on the technical rocky climb, with only Peace managing to salvage a three before Bou produced a stunning clean that set the standard.

From that point, Bou never looked back, adding five more cleans in the Final before carrying his advantage into the Super Final where he remained faultless with four more clean rides to complete a remarkable day of domination.

“It’s been a perfect weekend, even better than we could have expected,” Bou said. “I had a great feeling on the bike, and today we were able to cap it off with a one-point lap and a clean one, without any mistakes. I’m very happy, and I want to thank the team for their hard work, which has been very important for me. We’ve started the season in an incredible way.”

Behind him, the fight for the remaining podium positions was intense. Marcelli and Matteo Grattarola were locked together after the Final, but the Spanish rider pulled clear in the Super Final to secure second on 17, with Grattarola finishing third. Gelabert and Peace were tied on 30 marks, with Gelabert taking fourth on tie-break and Peace rewarded with a career-first overall podium in fifth.

TrialGP Women

In TrialGP Women, Italy’s Andrea Sofia Rabino produced a perfect response to move firmly into title contention, taking back-to-back race wins to cut the championship gap from 17 points to 11 behind defending champion Berta Abellán.

Rabino took control early in Race 1 with three consecutive cleans and never relinquished her advantage, finishing on a total of 10 marks, seven clear of Abellán, who was left to recover after a costly five on Section 9. France’s Alycia Soyer won a tie-break for third over Britain’s Alice Minta, both finishing on 20, while the battle for positions remained tight throughout the field.

Race 2 saw Abellán respond strongly after a difficult start, but Rabino again proved decisive at the key moments. Despite a late charge from the Spaniard, Rabino held her nerve to seal victory with a final-section clean, finishing just two marks ahead. Pechackova took third, with Soyer narrowly beating Minta on tie-break for fourth.

“It has been a great weekend for me,” Rabino said. “I’m very happy to win both races today and my feeling with the bike was very good. It’s my home round next and I’m looking forward to it.”

Trial2

Trial2 once again delivered its trademark unpredictability, beginning with Spain’s Gerard Trueba taking victory in Race 1 after a superb single-mark performance that saw him edge Italian Francesco Titli and Spanish rival Arnau Farré.

Series leader Álex Canales maintained his championship advantage with fourth, just ahead of Britain’s Jack Dance, as the standings remained extremely tight heading into the second race.

The response came from France’s Benoit Bincaz, who bounced back strongly after a difficult opening race to win Race 2 on a tie-break over Dance, securing the overall day victory. The class remained incredibly close, with just three marks separating the top five. Britain’s Billy Green also featured in the mix, finishing third in Race 2 ahead of Farré, while Canales rounded out the top five.

“I’m really, really happy to take the win today,” Bincaz said. “The sections were very tricky and it was difficult to fight all day, but finally I did it.”

Trial3 Junior

In Trial3 Junior, consistency proved decisive as Britain’s Harison Skelton took control of the championship fight with a composed and well-managed performance across both races.

After finishing second on Saturday, Skelton went one better in Race 1 with a near-perfect ride on just two marks, finishing ahead of Germany’s Marco Laure and Spain’s Oriol García Campano. He then backed it up with a controlled ninth-mark performance in Race 2, enough to secure the overall win and move into the series lead.

“I felt a lot better today,” Skelton said. “Right from the start I concentrated hard and felt at one with the bike so in the sections I was strong and managed to do what I needed to for the win.”

Defending winner Fabio Mazzola recorded 6-4 finishes to drop to fourth overall for the day, but remains firmly in the title hunt, just nine points off the lead.

With no time to rest, the championship now heads to Round 3 at Camerino, Italy, this weekend (19–21 June), where Trial2 Women will also join the action for the first time in 2026 alongside TrialGP, TrialGP Women, Trial2 and Trial3 Junior.
