The third round of the Sunshine State Series at Mundubbera QLD, could not have gone any better for Motorex KTM racer, Todd Waters who entered both the Pro Lites and the Pro Open coming home with a win in both classes.
Pro Open runner up Michael Addison
Fatigued yet elated with his results, Waters from Atherton in Cairns siad, ‰ÛÏI‰Ûªm pretty tired from racing in both classes, but I‰Ûªm stoked at my results for Motorex KTM. I had some good competition from Mitchell Hoad in the Pro Lites and my Motorex KTM team mate, Michael Addison in the Pro Open with both of them giving me some good challenges out on the track. ‰ÛÏI rode the KTM 250 SX-F in the Pro Lites taking the hole shot in my opening moto with about a six second lead. Simon Thompson was chasing my tail a little which kept the pressure on but I managed to hold him off by the chequered flag. ‰ÛÏIn the final Pro Lite moto, Hoad put down some really fast lap times and I couldn‰Ûªt hold him off. I got the hole shot but Mitch passed me and so did Nick Geck. I ended up passing Nick again, but Mitch had checked out so I finished in second. Combined from both motos I got the overall win and was then focused on winning the Pro Open class as well.‰Û
Adam Cini took third in the pro Open class for Husqvarna
Continuing his winning streak in the Pro Open class, Waters comments, ‰ÛÏI swapped the KTM 250 SX-F for the 450 SX-F in the Pro open and it was seriously the fastest machine out there. ‰ÛÏMy Motorex KTM team mate, Michael Addison rode the same bike and he hole shotted and I took second off the start. I put my head down and focused on making clean passes to claim the lead, which I did pretty early in the race and stuck with it until the chequered flag. ‰ÛÏThe final Pro Open moto was pretty much the same but Addison held onto the lead for most of the race, I passed him just after the half way point and held it on to take the win by just a couple of seconds off him by the finish line.‰Û
