Toby Price Ready To Push Through Pain AORC This Weekend

Posted:

He may not be at 100%, but KTM Enduro Racing Team rider Toby Price will try his best to keep racking up the points as this weekend's third and fourth rounds of the AORC take place at Boyland in Queensland.

Price was a bruised and battered figure after a crash on day two of last month's championship opener at Bulahdelah, but his injuries were thankfully less serious than initially thought and after a couple of shakedown rides this week, Price is ready to go.

His injury came after one of the most spectacular comebacks in the sport, as Price made a triumphant return to AORC competition for the first time since he fractured his spine racing in the US early last year. And he didn't just win; he dominated -blitzing the opening sprint by an astounding 30 seconds over the cream of the country‰Ûªs off-road riding talent.

‰ÛÏThings are good with me and I'm ready to go." Price stated. "The body is still not feeling quite 100% but we'll push through it. I rode Tuesday and today and things are a bit sore but we'll do what we can and try to get a decent result to keep in the hunt for the title.

"I've just got to keep my head down and keep pushing forward.‰Û

On the opposite side of the KTM awning, Peter Boyle was also in sublime form on his KTM 250 EXC-F, leaving Bulahdelah with a share of the E1 championship lead after a win and a second from two rounds.

‰ÛÏIt's been a good fortnight for me, I went up to Wonka's and tested for a few days, and raced some club motocross at the weekend." Boyle stated. "Now I'm looking forward to getting up there and walking the track to see what we've got ahead of us.

"I like enduro; you get to cruise around and see the land a bit better, plus if anything goes wrong you have time to fix it. This will be a new venue for us and I'm excited to be going somewhere different where no one has got the advantage so it should be a pretty even fighting field.

"For me I would like to be higher up in the outright positions and just keep on getting better."

This weekend's third and fourth round in Queensland sees a return to enduro format in hilly terrain near Mount Tamborine, not far from the Gold Coast.
