KTM Enduro Racing Team riders Toby Price and Peter Boyle are hungry to break through for the team's first overall win of 2014, and are intent on bringing the plan to fruition this Sunday at the final round of the KTM Enduro-X nationals at Melbourne's Calder Park raceway.
While the team‰Ûªs riders have both shown an abundance of skill and won races across the two previous rounds of the series, neither has yet been able to convert a race win into a round win.
The pair have ramped up their efforts in the last week, visiting a number of tracks to sharpen the mojo to a scalpel edge, in order to attain the consistency required to master the many random factors in Enduro-X.
Price sits in second place in the championship, just 13 points behind series leader Chris Hollis and is well with in striking distance after taking home the championship trophy if things work out on Sunday at Calder Park.
‰ÛÏWe've been into it a fair bit this week, ridden every day, with being able to get onto some tracks we can't normally get on we‰Ûªre just been doing as much as we can while we‰Ûªre on the road." Price explained. "I was already feeling pretty good in Sydney, so it's been good to get a lot of bike time and now we'll just see if we can bring home a win.
"Now I‰Ûªve spent a bit more time on the 350 I feel really good on it, and I‰Ûªve been trying a few new skills and brushing up on a few things. I know I can do a bit more with it now, so I‰Ûªm looking forward to seeing how this third round pans out.
"I've had Mike Brown staying with me since Parramatta and been showing him as much of Australia as possible. He's been studying how to play didgeridoo on You Tube and he seems to be picking it up quite good so we might have to send him home with one!‰Û
