The Honda Blue Light ride is ready to go again

Posted:

Being the 30th anniversary of this event the organizers have got plenty of surprises and entertainment lined up for the day. With 960 trail riders all geared up for a day of fun thrills and spills around the Noojee forest in Victoria its going to be another great day. The Blue Light ride is ready to go again With entries now closed the hard working members of the Vic, Police Motor Sports Club prepare what has traditionally been a fun course for all standards of riders. Last year's torrential rain before the event has meant several changes to this year's event. In consultation with the Department of sustainability and Environment the course is to be run in reverse, removing some up hills that have posed a problem to organizers in the past. The aim is to get all riders through to the Fnish line so that they have the chance to win the magnifcent prizes in store for them. The main prize being the Honda CRF250X which one lucky rider will take home. Prizes from Fox and Shift and Dunlop make up an aura of latest product releases on display for some of the lucky riders. 2005 also sees the introduction of a Honda Junior Blue Light Ride with 103 teenagers from 12 to 16 years lining up on the grid. One of the lucky riders will take home a brand new CRF50 along with other prizes from Fox and Shift and Dunlop. The junior event, open to trail type bikes has had an amazing response for its ®ÕOrst year introduction. The event,to be run on private property where the major blue light ride starts from, has had a magnifcent course marked out providing all the skills required for Blue Light Ride/enduro riders of the future. Australasian Dirt Bike magazine also in its 30 year of operation has got right behind this event to show support. The event kicks off at 9.30 both Saturday and Sunday and organizers have been over- whelmed by the response of riders given the calibre of other major events also on the same weekend. Organizers state that all entries are closed and that no entries are to be received on the day.
