It’s been a minute for the riders in AMA ProMotocross. The longest break they have had in season 2024 was just on 3 weeks and has basically just wrapped up.

So it’s back to the grindstone for the field. With a stretch ahead of 6 races in 7wks. 3 remaining Motocross rounds, a week off. Then onto the 3 SuperMotocross (SMX) playoff rounds. So a busy schedule ahead to close out the 2024 AMA season.

The break as always is welcomed by many, but cursed by a small few who have found form in the week or two before the break. The break also gives everyone a chance to rest up from any minor bumps and bruises. Or catch a few extra weeks of training before making their return to the races after an injury layoff.

This year’s Amateur break which always coincides with the following round of ProMotocross at Unadilla will see a bunch of stars returning to the track for the first time since Supercross. Not all have got to the return point and some will be another week or two before returning to get at least one gate drop before the big money races of SMX start in September.

The Emergency department list this round is a bit scattered with info. Some confirmation of return. Some wishy-washy maybe returns soon and then a bunch of the seasons over but really it’s been over for a while situations. The picture of who will be at the SMX playoffs will become much clearer at Budds Creek and heading to Ironman. But for now, we have some updates to keep you in the loop.

For those who haven’t found our Podcast yet. These injury updates are spoken about in a lot more depth on the podcast and you might learn a thing or two about your own past injuries as we dive through the details of the human anatomy at times.
