Adam Cianciarulo has another injury setback. This time on Press Day in Arlington

It’s Daytona baby. Insert a clique phrase from a certain GOAT here.

The house that Eli Tomac has built and may look to put an extension on this week. This track has always suited Eli’s style and aggressive nature. But this year’s title fight between the three top dogs might see a different outcome for Eli at Daytona. But I would not be surprised if he does keep adding to the house.

Nate Thrasher has been a real contender for the East title this year. Putting in some fantastic rides and battles with Hunter Lawrence. But confirmation he is doing it with a recently torn ACL. I haven’t seen anywhere which knee it is. But if you watch his riding technique, he is definitely riding differently. He is not taking a certain foot off the peg at all. Obviously trying to prevent aggravations of that knee. But that can only last for so long. One wrong move or dab of that foot in a corner and his season could be over and done.

Nate Thrasher confirmed an ACL tear earlier this season and is continuing to compete without it. Time will tell how long this lasts.

Another injury added to the very extensive list for Adam Cianciarulo. A wrist injury aggravated on Press day saw him miss Arlington at this stage Daytona as well. No details on the wrist injury but one can speculate that this might have been hanging around from pre-season. For those with a keen eye, Adam has not been wearing a wrist brace on his right arm this year as he has in previous seasons. Unclear if this is related at this stage but another injury-affected year was not on the wish list when he sent it to Santa in December 2022.

RJ Hampshire is holding true and heading to Daytona on a 450 this weekend. Somewhat surprised that he didn’t take the opportunity to rest up after looking still visibly affected by his Anaheim 2 crash the last time we saw him 2 weeks ago in Oakland.

RJ Hampshire despite his Anaheim two crash still having effects on him at Oakland two weeks ago will be on a 450 at Daytona.

A few privateer guys will be taking a week off to recover this week after a string of crashes in Arlington. Tristan Lane’s crash on the Supercross Triple left his bike and him worse for wear. Find that crash on his Instagram page if you want to see some carnage.

For us Aussie fans, hopefully, we can see a return to the top set for Hunter Lawrence at Daytona and keep the dream alive of a Lawrence brothers 250 SX title sweep.
