Welcome to THE DIRTY WEEKEND AHEAD, presented by SUZUKI , our weekly look at the events and riders that will be in action throughout the coming weekend.

From International Events and Races that Australians and even our New Zealand friends are competing in, to national events and even a list of as many local state events we can find.

The 2014 Monster Energy MX Nationals is heading into the third to last round and things are getting tight at the top.

In the MX1 class, reigning champion, Motul Suzuki's Matt Moss holds a slender 18 point lead over KTM Racings Kirk Gibbs with the two riders looking like they will be the two that fight for this years title.

CDR Yamaha's Billy Mackenzie is still an outside chance for this years title, but at 50 points back from Gibbs and 68 from Moss, he will need to start racking up the race wins to be in with a chance. Like wise for Monster Energy's Adam Monea who is a further seven points behind Mackenzie, while Jake Moss's championship hopes are all but dashed as he sits in 5th spot 130 points behind his brother with eight moto remaining for the season.

Serco Yamaha's Luke Clout holds a handy 16 point lead over CMR Redbull KTM rider Hamish Harwood in the MX2 class, while SD3 Husqvarna privateer sits in third a further 27 points adrift. The MX2 class has provided great racing all season long with multiple winners along the way and with close to a full gate of riders entered for this weekends race, it is sure to provide another cracker round of racing.

GYTR Yamaha racer Jed Beaton leads a four way battle for the MXD title heading into round eight, with Beaton, KTM's Jack Simpson and the Husqvarna pairing of Egan Mastin and Nathan Crawford all seperated by just 25 points!

The four riders have been swapping round wins and the red plate all season long and round eight could prove to be pivatol in this years title.

2014 World Motocross Championships Round 15: Lommel, Belgium
Dean Ferris will be the sole Aussie in action at the MXGP this Sunday
Aussie Line Up: Dean Ferris (MX1)

While Antonio Cairoli cruises to yet another world championship in the MX1 class, the MX2 class has been turned on it's head with the new that championship leader Jeffrey Herlings will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after breaking his femur.

After round 14 last weekend there are only two riders left in MX2 with a mathmatical chance of toppling Herlings for this years title with Herlings KTM team-mate Jordi Tixier 102 points down with 150 still on offer while Husqvarna's Romain Febvre is a very outside chance at 141 points down, needing at least 41 points this weekend to stay in the hunt.

2014 Monster Energy Speedway World Cup
The Aussie Speedway team will be going for the world cup win this weekend
Australia saw off a sensational Swedish challenge to win the Race Off and book their place in the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup Final on Saturday night.

The men from Down Under join Poland, Team Great Britain and Denmark in the last four after triumphing on 43 points. Sweden fell short on 32, while the USA scored 26 to pip the Czech Republic, who bagged 24, to third.

2014 MAXXIS World Enduro Championship: Lumezzane, Italy
Matthew Phillips is edging closer to the world E3 Enduro Championship
Aussie Line UP: Matt Phillips (E3)

Nearly a month and a half after the Grand Prix of Finland and Sweden, the Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship resumes with the sixth and penultimate round of the season that will take place in the nice town of the province of Brescia: Lumezzane, Italy.

It is a rest weekend for our Suzuki RM-Z 250 - Credit: Kendall Jennings
This weekend it is all about the MX Nationals for us as we head to the eighth round of the 2014 Championship. It does mean it will be a rest weekend for our Suzuki RM-Z 250 unfortunately.

After spending last weekend behind the Motocross start gates for the first time on our little yellow beast, we are keen to get some more racing in as soon as possible and already have two races slotted in for the two spare weekends between rounds 8 and 9 of the MX Nationals.

If you want to see what we are upto this weekend, just keep an eye on our social network channels!

As always be sure to keep an eye on the Fullnoise.com.au Social Pages over the weekend for some images and updates regarding the weekends racing.

Then check the front page of the Fullnoise.com.au site on Monday for our MONDAY MOTOBOARD Presented by TM Racing Australia for a full list of results from all racing over the weekend.

Again for 2014 if there are any events at your local club that you would like to have added to the Dirty Weekend Ahead, email details to mail@fullnoise.com.au
