Author: Aaryn Minerds

Welcome to THE DIRTY WEEKEND AHEAD, presented by SUZUKI , our weekly look at the events and riders that will be in action throughout the coming weekend.

From International Events and Races that Australians and even our New Zealand friends are competing in, to national events and even a list of as many local state events we can find.

2014 Penrite Australian Supercross Championship Rounds 3/4 - Phillip Island, Vic
Matt Moss leads the Australian supercross championship into Phillip Island this weekend
Rounds three and four of the 2014 Penrite Australian Supercross Championship head to Phillip Island in what is set to be the biggest weekend of Motorcycling racing in Australia this year.

For the third straight year, the Australian Supercross championship will run along side the Australian round of the MotoGp Championship with Australia's best supercross stars ready to show up the worlds best road racers.

Matt Moss was flawless at the opening two rounds running away with two big wins. But don't expect the reigning champ to have everything his own way this weekend with NPS - Monster Energy Kawasaki's Adam Monea looking to go one better than his dual second place finishes at Bathurst.

Other riders to keep an eye on will be KTM Racing's Kirk Gibbs and Moss's Motul Suzuki team-mate Lawson Bopping who both secured a podium result in Bathurst. With a full gate of 20 riders expect to line up for both Saturday and Sunday's main event, it is shaping up to be another great round of SX racing.

In the SX2 class Australian Brenden Harrison opened the season with a round win before American Gavin Faith claimed the win on night two in Bathurst to take the lead in the championship standings.

The SX2 class is sure to be hotly contested again this weekend with no less then 10 riders capable of hitting the podium both days.

2014 Australian Quad MX and Sidecar Championships

Australia's top ATV and Sidecar Motocross riders head to Horsham in Victoria for the 2014 Australian Quad and Sidecar MX Championships.

Check out the Horsham MCC Facebook club for information and updates.

2014 Monster Energy Cup - Las Vegas
Get ready to cheer on Caleb Grothues this weekend as he lines up at the 2014 MEC
Aussie Line Up - Chad Reed (MEC), Caleb Grothues (Supermini)

The 2014 Monster Energy Cup heads to Las Vegas in the last big American race for the year and the first chance to see many riders on their new rides.

With previous winners in Ryan Villopoto and James Stewart out of the event for various reason and Ken Roczen also missing the race, the big favorite heading into the event is Red Bull KTM's Ryan Dungey.

Dungey wont have everything his own way however with the likes of Factory Honda's Eli Tomac, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Davi Millsaps and JGR Yamaha's new recruit Justin Barcia all strong chances to take the title.

Aussies can watch this years MEC Live on ESPN2 on the the Foxtel Network from 12.30pm on Sunday the 19th of October.

FULLNOSIE.COM.AU's Weekend Ahead
It was great to get out for a mid week ride aboard our Suzuki RM-Z 250
Our Suzuki RM-Z 250 will unfortunately be parked up again this weekend as we head to Phillip Island to take in rounds three and four of the 2014 Australian Supercross championship and also watch a little MotoGP action LIVE!

The good news is we managed to get a couple of rides in during the week, heading to a private track on Tuesday before heading to Gillman in SA on Wednesday. We still can't get enough of our Suzuki and we are looking forward to hopefully getting behind the start gate again next weekend with a little bit of luck.

As always be sure to keep an eye on the Fullnoise.com.au Social Pages over the weekend for some images and updates regarding the weekends racing.

Then check the front page of the Fullnoise.com.au site on Monday for our MONDAY MOTOBOARD Presented by TM Racing Australia for a full list of results from all racing over the weekend.

Again for 2014 if there are any events at your local club that you would like to have added to the Dirty Weekend Ahead, email details to mail@fullnoise.com.au
