2015 Dakar Rally Argentina:
Joan Barreda has a 10 minute lead at Dakar after 5 of 13 stages
Aussie Line Up: Bikes - Toby Price (#26), Llewellyn Sullivan-Pavey (#75), Simon Pavey (#76), Clayton Jacobsen (#134)

The 2015 edition of the Dakar rally continues over the weekend and all throughout next week with HRC Honda 450 rider Joan Barreda leading the way. Moving into second place heading into the weekend is KTM's reigning champ Marc Coma and at only 10 minutes back is well in contention for this years race win.

For us Aussies the big interest will be continuing to watch the progress of KTM's Toby Price who currently sits in 8th position after 5 days of competition, just over 41 minutes behind Barreda in his first attempt at the great race.

TOBY PRICE is only one of four Australian's entered into this years race, joining Clayton Jacobsen, ex-pat Aussie and five time Dakar finisher Simon Pavey and Simon's Son Llewellyn Sullivan-Pavey as the aim to become the first Father / Son to complete the event!

For more information and to follow each of the Australian riders during the event simply click on their names above (Apart from Llewellyn) and get to know more about Llewellyn and his Dad, Simon via their web site HERE

The easiest way to keep up with this years event is to head over to the 2015 Dakar Web site by CLICKING HERE. The site provides, live timing, info on competitors, daily video's live webcasts and more.

Both SBS will once again host 30 minute daily highlight shows, check local guides for times and we will also endevour to update out TV guide on the front page to list the viewing times.

As we have done in the past, we will once again have a daily update each and every day right here on Fullnoise.com.au that will run the the front runners and also update on how each of the Australian riders are traveling.

FULLNOSIE.COM.AU's Weekend Ahead
With a little luck we will be hitting the track this weekend
Our plans for this weekend are a little up in the air just at the moment. While we are hanging to get back out for a ride, South Australia is bracing for record rain falls this weekend with up to 200ml predicted for some areas.

If the rain hits locally plan B will come into play and the Sunday will be spent on the couch watching practice and qualifying live from Phoenix before hoping to find a live stream of the racing!

A word of warning, like last weekend, all results and a race report form Phoenix be online live at Fullnoise.com.au before the race actually airs in Australia. If you are trying to stay away from all results, we suggest disconnecting from the World Wide Web early Sunday afternoon, locking yourself in a room and having no contact with the outside world!

We will try and not post anything regarding the racing and results from A1 via our social networks until the racing has aired on Foxtel, but no promises.

As always be sure to keep an eye on the Fullnoise.com.au Social Pages over the weekend for some images and updates regarding the weekends racing.

Then check the front page of the Fullnoise.com.au site on Monday for our MONDAY MOTOBOARD Presented by TM Racing Australia for a full list of results from all racing over the weekend. (Monday Motorboard returns for 2015 as of this Monday!)

Again for 2015 if you would like to see a photo of yourself on the Fullnoise.com.au website in this article, simply email us a image to mail@fullnoise.com.au or via a private message on our facebook account and you may just see yourself online right here! Don't forget to let us know who took the photo so we can give them the credit for getting your photo online.

Also if there are any events at your local club that you would like to have added to the Dirty Weekend Ahead, email details to mail@fullnoise.com.au

As posted above will in the coming weeks have all the local state racing posted in this weekly colum.
