Australia's Chad Reed stepped away from the rumor mill surrounding his future for a night and took his tenth win of the 2004 THQ AMA Supercross Series at Texas Stadium in Dallas on April the 17th 2004.

There where no great surprises in the 250 class as the top four of Reed, Windham (Amsoil Chaparral Honda), Larocco (Amsoil Chaparral Honda) and Vuillemin (Yamaha Motor Corp) all showed why they are top four in that order.

Reed only needed to achieve tenth or better at the next round in Salt Lake City the following weekend to fulfill his dream of an American Supercross Championship.

Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Ivan Tedesco took his first pro championship when he wrapped up the 125cc THQ AMA Western Regional Supercross Series championship when he won his sixth race of the season.
