Team Honda Racing reports strong progress and a positive direction after Australian Superbike Practice yesterday at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin, N.T, for Round 6 of the Australian Superbike Championship.
The Honda riders are both confident of strong results this weekend and Jamie Stauffer believes the changes made to the Honda CBR1000RR since the double-header at Sydney have greatly improved the feeling of the bike for him.
Stauffer recorded the 3rd fastest lap of the day yesterday; a 1:07.496 sec and was just .3 sec off the fastest lap of the 2 practice sessions.
‰ÛÏPractice was good yesterday. We‰Ûªve definitely moved forward from the last event and we are making progress with the bike and getting more speed from it. I feel there are really only a couple of areas on the track that we need to get a little bit more from and we will be racing at the front. The mechanics have made some minor changes overnight so we‰Ûªll see how qualifying goes today.‰Û
