Team Honda Racing Assemble Ahead of Round 3 ASBK

The Honda Superbike team is now assembled in Queensland ahead of this weekend‰Ûªs Australian Superbike Championship event; the second points scoring event of the series.

Team Honda Racing has undertaken testing at the Queensland circuit twice in preparation for the event and although much was gained from testing. Jamie Stauffer will enter Round 3 on the weekend still sore from a tumble during last week‰Ûªs test.

Nonetheless, the team is confident they will be strong on race day, with Team Principle, Paul Free saying, ‰ÛÏThe Queensland circuit is a strong one for both Jamie and Josh Hook so I am looking forward to this weekend‰Ûªs event.

"The testing we have carried out over the past couple of months has given us an opportunity to really try some different scenarios and settings in the CBR1000RR.

"We have gained an awful lot of information to process and during the early stages of the weekend I feel we will set a very clear plan of attack for the races," he added.

Queensland Raceway is one of Stauffer‰Ûªs strongest circuits and he is looking forward to putting the testing into action over the weekend.

‰ÛÏWe definitely came away from the tests here at QR with a lot to think about and I suppose practice tomorrow will help to cement our direction for the races." Stauffer explained.

"I did have a bit of tumble at the test last week which left me a bit sore, but it‰Ûªs nothing I haven‰Ûªt dealt with before so we‰Ûªll just look forwards and concentrate on accruing as many points as possible this weekend.‰Û

Josh Hook, although in his rookie year onboard the CBR1000RR is continuing to move forward at a rapid pace and sits in 5th position behind his team mate on the points board after the first round.

Hook has proven to be fast at the Queensland circuit onboard a CBR600RR last year and will be looking to emulate this strength on the Superbike.

‰ÛÏI am really looking forward to getting out on track for tomorrow‰Ûªs practice to settle in for Round 3." Hook stated. "We concentrated a lot on set-up during our testing up here and I‰Ûªm happy with where we are starting the event this weekend.‰Û
