Inside the Gresini Racing headquarters in Faenza Sam Lowes pulled the covers off his new Kalex machine with which he will be taking part with great ambitions in the Moto2 World Championship
The twentieth Grand Prix racing season of Gresini Racing officially started today with the presentation of the 2016 racing programs for the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships, held inside the new racing department of the team in Faenza, Italy.
‰ÛÏThe project we have built for the 2016 Moto2 World Championship is really exciting," said team owner Fausto Gresini. "We feel confident because we think that we have everything it takes to have a great season. A competitive bike, which has an impactful new Federal Oil livery, a very fast rider on which we place great hopes, and valuable partners who strongly believe in us and which have been supporting us for a long time.
With regard to the intermediate class, the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Team celebrated the fifth year of collaboration with Federal Oil revealing the new livery of the Kalex Moto2 machine with which 25-year-old British rider Sam Lowes will be at the start of the season with great ambitions.
‰ÛÏLiving the team presentation inside the racing department of the team was exciting: the bike in the new colors is great, the design is really very nice and aggressive," Lowes said.
"Having presented the team also means that the start of the season is getting closer and are therefore I‰Ûªm doubly pleased. The tests that we have carried out so far have been very positive: the team has worked really well and also today we breathed a nice atmosphere, so I expect a fantastic season. Our goal is clear: we are aiming for the title, so I hope we can continue in the best possible way our pre-season preparation and immediately get a good result in Qatar, to start the Championship on the right foot‰Û
