Tayla Jones takes the win at Big Buck Farm GNCC Opener

Posted:

Australian girls Tayla Jones and MacKenzie Tricker have continued their off-road podium form with another podium at the opening round of the 2017 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship.

Jones topped the results sheet at the Big Buck Farm in Union, South Carolina, as her and Tricker continue their American season. Both girls have been in excellent early pre-season form sharing the wins and podiums at both rounds of the Kenda Full Gas Enduro series.

Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/KR4 Arive-N-Ride's Jones grabbed the early lead and never looked back. It wouldn't be easy though, as defending champion and Fly Racing/Maxxis/Seat Concepts/KTM's Becca Sheets kept the pace and finished just behind Jones. KTM-mounted rider MacKenzie Tricker held onto third.

"Not complaining with my start to the GNCC season!" Jones said via Instagram. "Stoked to come away with the win today not only for myself but the whole team. I started off great with a holeshot on my @husqvarna_usa 250 FC and ended up sliding out on the third corner which made my race harder then it should've been. Track got beat and rough by the end but my @aeopowersports suspension was perfect all day! Can't wait for next weekend all read," she concluded.
