Sydney Motorcycle and Scooter Show is Here

This weekend's Sydney Motorcycle & Scooter Show will be Australia's biggest and best motorcycle show for 2013 with major unveilings from leading manufacturers, hundreds of bikes on display and the latest in motorcycle and scooter products and accessories.

Beginning this sensational list of reveals will be BMW's R nine T roadster, a tribute to BMW's 90 years of motorcycle production and the S1000 R naked sports machine, only weeks after its unveiling at EICMA in Milan.

Also unveiled at Milan and now at Sydney will be two brand-new motorcycles from Triumph, the Thunderbird Commander and Thunderbird LT cruisers as well as the new V-Strom 1000 ABS from Suzuki.

Never seen before in Australia until the covers come off on Friday, will be two brand-new motorcycles from KTM, the two-stroke Freeride 250R and the 1290 Super Duke R, set to shake up the naked bike category.

Kawasaki will be unveiling three motorcycles, the limited edition 2014 Ninja ZX-14R Special Edition (Ohlins) as well as the 2014 Ninja 1000 and the Teryx LE side-by side vehicle.

Honda will also be premiering its newest side-by-side vehicle, the Pioneer 700 in both four and two-seater variants, with its new Goldwing F6B tourer also taking centre stage.

Ducati will be showcasing its newest Superbike 899 Panigale, a supermid version of the award-winning 1199 Panigale, featuring a brand-new Superquadro engine.

The latest models from Yamaha will be on display including the MT-09 triple naked street bike, the 950cc Bolt and the next level in its reverse fed, fuel injected MX bikes, whilst Aprilia will have on display a number of new models including the Tuono V4 R ABS superbike and the 2014 RSV4 R APRC ABS.

Victory will be exhibiting its entire 2014 model range with Harley-Davidson also showcasing its latest bikes, including the Fat Bob FXDF.
Also joining the list of sensational reveals will be the KTM 1290 Super Duke R.
Scooter fans are catered for also with Piaggio displaying its latest updated models including the unique MP3 Yourban and upmarket X10 Maxi scooters and the new BV350, the popular city/urban commuter, perfect for the bustling Sydney market.

In an exclusive for show visitors, Piaggio will also be unveiling the Vespa 946, a handcrafted model which is the only one of its kind in Australia, with all 946s destined for our shores sold out already.

The Sydney Motorcycle & Scooter Show will also welcome new brands to the Australian market with Indian returning after a 70 year hiatus with nine bikes on display and American ATV and side-by-side manufacturer Arctic Cat making its long-awaited arrival.

There will be also be the newest motorcycles on display from Benelli, Bimota, Confederate, EBR, MV Augusta and Ural to name just a few.

Those history buffs amongst us will be geared up by the inaugural Walk of Fame with historic and milestone bikes situated along the Grand Promenade including the current Australian Land Speed Record holder for a Production Motorcycle, a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R as well as a just-confirmed 1935 Indian Sport Scout and Yamaha YR2 Grand Prix model.

Calling out to the youngest riders will be a range of the latest mini and quad bikes from leading manufacturers, with a Kiddimoto balance bike up for grabs from stand #295, where every child who signs up for a ride goes into the draw.

In total, a record 140 exhibitors will display their latest and greatest wares with everything new and exciting in motorcycle accessories, products and services also showcased throughout the halls of the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Visitors seeking their next motorcycle adventure should be sure to visit the numerous tour companies exhibiting including Route 66 Tours, GlobeBusters, Go Explore the World and Ferris Wheels Motorcycle Safaris.
Charley Boorman will be a special guest of this weekend's Sydney Motorcycle & Scooter Show.
Plus, all visitors to the Show will be in the running to win a 13-day motorcycling tour of Vietnam thanks to Wide Eyed Tours and Vietnam Airlines, simply by walking through the doors and entering their details at the relevant iPad entry stations, or by downloading the Show App' to their smartphone.

For those seeking some action and adventure at the Show, the outside Action Arena and indoor Trials Arena will be entertaining all visitors, with a packed schedule of performances from the Showtime FMX team, KTM stunt rider Lukey Luke and Jack Fields Hell Team Trials display, plus plenty more dare-devils to wow the crowds.

The 2013 Sydney Motorcycle & Scooter Show will also feature an exhaustive list of special guests, headlined by world-renowned motorcycle adventurer Charley Boorman, who will be conducting his Charley Boorman Live Tour from the show.

Alex Cudlin, 2013 World FIM Endurance Champion and Qatar Superbike Champion and Kawasaki racer Sophie Lovett will also be attending the show, together with numerous other champion riders and ambassadors.

The 2013 Sydney Motorcycle & Scooter Show presented by QBE with Official Vehicle Isuzu D-Max will be Australia's biggest one-stop motorcycle show this year, with floor space at capacity and all major exhibitors locked in.
