Sunny Corner Rally (15-16 Sept) returns for 2007

Posted:

Celebrating its 21th year, the annual KTM Sunny Corner Trail Bike Rally will return to Bathurst and Lithgow (NSW), over the weekend of 15-16 September, with hundreds of dirt bikers expected to ride the guided two x 75km loops in the Sunny Corner State Forest, rain, hail or shine‰Û_..or snow! Riders have the option to arrive on September 15 and camp in the Sunny Corner State Forest whilst enjoying a bonfire and live band, or alternatively arrive for the first group departure early Sunday morning on September 16. The KTM Sunny Corner Trail Bike Rally has become legendary on the dirt bike calendar, with over 600 riders from around Australia travelling to enjoy the trail ride each year. The Rally is a non competitive fun weekend for all levels of off-road riders who share a passion for trail bike riding. All entrants must be licensed with a registered motorcycle, as demo models for the public are not available on the day. The Central Tablelands Motorcycle Club will supply sweep riders throughout the day to provide each group departure with mechanical and safety support on the well arrowed and marked out loops. Everyone who participates in the event will automatically go in the running to win a new 2008 model KTM 450 EXC thanks to KTM Australia. The Central Tablelands Motorcycle Club in conjunction with Angel Flight will also be raffling a 2007 model 50 adventure, also donated by KTM. Wallerawang Public School will again be on hand this year, with full canteen facilities as the schools major fundraiser for the year, while motorcycle dealership Orange KTM will set up a range of 2008 model KTM bikes for public viewing. Participation into the KTM Sunny Corner Trail Bike Rally is $100 for pre-paid entry, or $120 on the day. The price includes entry into the event, plus breakfast and lunch on the Sunday and your ticket into the draw for the KTM 450 EXC and the hundreds of other prizes to be given away.
