Victorian YJR Duo Cody Dyce and Jed Beaton have just competed in and dominated rounds four and five of the Victorian Gippsland Centre Champs held recently.
Round four was held at Rosebud circuit, easily Victoria's sandiest circuit and known to dish out tough conditions for bike and rider.
Cody Dyce had his YZ85 in 12-15yrs class singing all day and feeling at home in the deep sand easily winning the first moto and after a small fall and playing catch up finishing 2nd in moto two to win the round.
Jed Beaton was doing his usual double duty on his YZ 125 and 250F. Beaton dominated all day winning all four motos after good starts and a pace no one could match on the day to win on both bikes.
Round five was held at Korumburra and proved to be another successful day for both YJR riders. The boys were greeted with near perfect track conditions with the club doing a great job.
Dyce got great starts and apart from one small crash had a near perfect day going 1-2-1 to take the overall and extend his points lead in the eight round series.
"These last two rounds and been great and I'm learning every time I race," Dyce said. "We had some motor work done before round four and my YZ is really singing making my job a little easier.
"I can't wait for 2 weeks‰Ûª time at final round of the Victorian MX Champs round to see if I can get my first moto win in the older class," he added.
