Stroke Supercross Summer Nationals announced

Posted:

The top off-road racers in Australia are ready to do battle with the confirmation of the 2008 Stroke Supercross Summer Nationals series. Filling a void in the national racing calendar, the all-new Supercross Summer Nationals series will offer motorsport fans a fix of adrenalin-fuelled action. The widely anticipated two-round series will take to specially-constructed tracks in Tooradin (VIC) and Dubbo (NSW) and will feature an action-packed program including thundering Monster Trucks madness and awe-inspiring Freestyle Motocross displays. Sponsored by the highly-successful Australian motocross magazine, Stroke and presented by Full Throttle Sports, the Supercross Summer Nationals promises extreme race action with Pro Open, Pro Lites, U19 and Junior classes all crammed into the evenings' entertainment. The star-studded line-up of riders set to compete includes former Australian Champions, Ryan Marmont, Craig Anderson and Kade Mosig, plus a host of other popular names like Supercross specialist Danny Ham, Daniel McCoy and Brent Landman. "It's awesome to have Stroke as the series sponsor for the Supercross Summer Nationals," Sean Wesneske, General Manager, Full Throttle Sports said. "This series is great for Aussie off-road racing - there hasn't been any national racing since October and these guys live for high-spirited competition, not to mention more than $25,000 in prize money on offer. "There's also $10,000 worth of prizes to be given away on the night and an exciting fireworks finale to take the entertainment up another notch." Two huge evenings of high-flying entertainment, the Stroke Supercross Sumer Nationals will be an extreme event to thrill race fans and families alike. Stroke Supercross Summer Nationals Calendar:
RD 1: 16 February - Tooradin Recreation Reserve. Tooradin (VIC)
RD 2: 1 March - Dubbo Speedway, Dubbo (NSW)
