Seth Hammaker will return to racing this weekend when the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider lines up at Unadilla in New Berlin, New York
Hammaker has missed most of the season so far due to ongoing health issues.
After being forced to miss hosting last year due to state restrictions, Unadilla is back with Hammaker and his teammates Austin Forkner and Jo Shimoda looking to make the most of their time at the famed track.
Austin Forkner has raced at the circuit twice in his career, earning a podium during his rookie season. It’s these good memories that keep Forkner confident when he returns to racing each circuit, hoping to carry some of the momentum he found in the past few races to a good result and improve on his 11th place in the championship standings.
While many of the tracks are new for Jo Shimoda, he made his professional debut at Unadilla in 2019 and is eager to get back in 2021. New to the track will be Hammaker, who will be readjusting to racing following a few months of recouping from injury. Shimoda is currently 6th in the standings.
“The two-weekend break gave us a chance to regroup and focus on the remaining five races. With that in mind, we are hopeful to build some momentum at Unadilla to finish the season off strong,” said Olly Stone, Austin Forkner’s Mechanic.
