Round three of the South Australian Motocross Championships headed to Gillman (MRA) club in Adelaide with perfect conditions for the riders.
The SA GYTR Yamaha Junior Racing team came into the round hoping to keep the momentum going from round two with Thomas Larwood and Taj Gow-Smith in good form but the team was down one rider with Alex Larwood sidelined with an injured collar bone.
Thomas Larwood came to Gillman looking to build his points lead in the 13-15years 250cc class. The first moto seen him miss the start but he would push through for a solid second place and a good start to the day. He nailed the starts for races two and three then lead every lap for the remainder of the day to see him take 2-1-1 moto scores to take the overall for the round.
Thomas rode well and the rougher the track got, the more comfortable he looked.
"Today was great, I missed the start in moto one and struggled a little with lines but I really focussed on the second race and was able to holeshot and hold on for the win, then much the same in the final moto. My bike handled the conditions awesome today and it‰Ûªs good to get the win today,‰Û
