The Raceline Pirelli KTM race team is preparing to head to the first installment of the 2017 Australian Supercross Championship which will take place this Saturday night at Jimboomba in Queensland, with a strong presence in the talented SX2 category.
The team's Supercross pilots for the opening round will include former Under 19‰Ûªs Supercross Champion Jay Wilson and talented Western Australian rider Jayden Rykers, while Morgan Fogarty will sit out the season opener after suffering a training injury to his fingers.
Wilson, who is well experienced in the Supercross discipline shared that he's been anticipating this Saturday‰Ûªs event, and will draw on his experience racing the Arenacross internationally in 2017, with the hope to deliver the team with a positive result.
"I'm really excited for this weekend. With only having half a motocross season this year it's going to be awesome to race a full series of the Supercross," Wilson shared.
"At the beginning of the year I raced seven rounds of Arenacross in the U.K and I sort of feel like I haven‰Ûªt stopped racing Supercross since last year, so I feel fit and ready for tomorrow.
"This weekend it‰Ûªs about putting consistent results together and making sure that we get through safe and clean. I've had a great lead up to round one, so I'm looking forward to seeing it all come together."
