We sent the main man behind Australia's premier Motocross Championship, the Pirelli MX Nationals a few quick questions to see how things are shaping up for the 2018 Pirelli MX Nationals.

Heading into his 22nd year running the Australian Motocross Championship, it is fair to say Kevin Williams has more than a little experience when it comes to putting together a smooth running championship.

2018 will see riders tackle a 10 round championship held at 8 locations around the country over eight weekends of racing and will include two double-header rounds for the Pro Riders along with the traditional big two-day event at Coolum in Queensland to end the season.

While the on-track action will be best witnessed first hand, each round will once again be streamed live, and once again the crew at WEM have some unique round concepts up their sleeves, though they are keeping those close to their chest at the moment.

The 2018 Pirelli MX Nationals are fast approaching, overall what can race fans expect to see live at the track this year ?

Race Fans can be guaranteed to see some of the best racing on offer in Australia, there will be action-packed moments, give- aways, a chance to catch up with there favorite riders and take a walk down pit lane.

While being live at the track is always the best way to watch Australia’s best riders in action, what is in store for those who can’t make it to the track for all eight weekends this year. Will the Live Stream return for this season and will race fans be able to access live timing and results for a quick update on how things are going?

For anyone who cant make it on the day all ten rounds will be lived stream free for you to view live or on demand on NRGTV its as simple as going to www.nrgtv.com.au and following the links.

What new initiatives can we expect to see throughout the 2018 season, is there any secret plans you can let us in on before the season gets underway?

I can confirm that there will be some exciting, new and unseen things this year, but you will have to stay tuned to see what they are .

The talent across all classes looks to be jam-packed again in 2018, who do you see as the riders to beat in both the MX1 and MX2 classes.

The talent spread across both MX1 and MX2 this year would make it hard to put your money on any one rider, but its hard to overlook the efforts of two time MX1 champion Dean Ferris and I think Wilson Todd may have something to prove in the MX2 class this year after finishing a close second last year.
Kevin Williams and his family have been at this a long time and will head into their 22nd year of running Australia's premier motocross championship.
For yourself you are heading into your 22nd year of running the MX Nationals with WEM (Williams Event Management) The WEM certainly rings true with not just yourself but your entire family playing a role in the running of the championship. How important is it for you to have built a business where you get to work with your family.

Family Is everything to me, and to be able to have my three children and wife work alongside me and for us to be able to challenge each other, learn and achieve things together as a family unit is a very proud feeling, and one I hold very dear.

Along with your family many other people make these events possible, the wider WEM family you could say, how important is it to be surrounded people you know and trust when it comes to running something as big as the MX Nationals.

We wouldn’t be what we are today without the support and knowledge of our staff, to be a successful team we all have to trust each other and enjoy working together .

Cheers for taking the time for this quick interview Kevin, are there any last thoughts or information you would like to pass on about the 2018 Pirelli MX Nationals.

Make sure you are staying up to date via our MX Nationals Facebook an Instagram page or website, www.mxnationals.com.au and remember if you cant make it to the track watch it live and free on www.nrgtv.com.au.
