Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki has confirmed that 16-year-old Drew Adams will step up to race in the 250SX West class at Anaheim 2 this Saturday.
The young Tennessee rider is set to fill the void left by teammates Garrett Marchbanks and Ty Masterpool, who are sidelined with hand injuries.
Pro Circuit Kawasaki shared the announcement on Instagram, stating, “It’s go time! Drew Adams will line up tomorrow in Anaheim for his highly anticipated Supercross debut. Let’s go!”
Originally, Adams was preparing to race in the Futures division next weekend in Glendale as part of a long-term development plan. However, with Marchbanks and Masterpool out of action, the team has expedited his progression into the pro ranks after finalising his pro license.
Adams, making his Supercross debut, shared his excitement on social media, stating: “Tomorrow, I finally get to chase the dream I’ve had my entire life. I can’t promise perfection, but I’ll give my absolute best every time I’m on the track.”
Known for his success in the Supercross Futures program, where he has captured three wins, Adams has displayed the talent and potential to excel on the sport’s biggest stage.
While Adams will be the sole Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider competing at Anaheim 2, the team is confident in his ability to rise to the occasion. The race marks a significant milestone and offers a glimpse into what could be a bright future in the 250SX West division.
