A broken radius on his right arm spells the end of ProMX in 2023 for Luke Clout.

CDR Yamaha Monster Energy rider Luke Clout will miss the final two rounds of the ProMX championship after suffering injuries at a practice day on the weekend.

Clout was getting some time on the Coolum track ahead of the final two rounds when he fell on the back side of a jump and was then hit by a few riders as they couldn’t see the downed rider.

The result of the crash was a broken radius on his right arm, some cuts to his hand and a concussion but Clout has already been in for surgery and aims to be back on the bike prior to the opening round of the Australian Supercross Championships in October.

“I’m feeling pretty disappointed at the moment and the run of injuries I have had over the past few years hasn’t been good as I haven’t been able to get much continuity in my riding,” Clout expresses. “But I was able to get into surgery quickly and now on the road to recovery.

“Thanks to everyone who was at the track on the weekend to help me. It was a bit scary as there was some blood, but everyone helped and I thank them all.

“I will be back for Supercross and looking forward to putting together a strong series for myself and the CDR Yamaha Monster Energy team,” Clout Concluded.
