New South Wales young guns Taylor Poole and Jack Holder have finished the Australian Summer of Speedway, taking out the final round of National Championships in Kurri Kurri on Saturday night.
Poole claimed the 2012 Australian Under 21 Solo Speedway Championship after getting the better of Victorian Justin Sedgmen and New South Wales rider Alex Davies in the A Final.
Kurri Kurri saw Holder secure his second National Title of 2012, winning the Australian Under 16 250cc-350cc Solo Speedway Championship ahead of fellow New South Wales rider
Brady Kurtz and Victorian star Max Fricke.
In a battle of some of Australia's most promising Speedway riders, it was Poole who emerged as the best Under 21 competitor.
Accumulating 13 points from the heats to finish behind Davies and top-scorer
Sam Masters, the New South Welshman managed to keep his cool as Masters was excluded from the A Final.
Sedgmen, winner of the B Final, couldn't find a way past Poole, settling for second, while Davies capped off an impressive performance in third.
Fresh from winning the 2012 Australian Under 16 125cc Teams Championship with Kurtz just a fortnight prior, young Holder got the better of his NSW compatriot after Kurtz and Fricke finished above him in the heats.
However, a brilliant performance in the A Final ensured Jack would join his brother, Chris the 2012 Australian Solo Speedway Champion, in adding to the Holder family trophy cabinet.
