Penrite-Pirelli CRF Honda Racing duo, Jackson Richardson and Kyle Webster both improved their form in the highly contested SX2 class at round 3 of the Australian Supercross Championship in Geelong las weekend.
The team are set to take the learnings and push harder this weekend at round 4 at the Gillam Speedway, Adelaide. Both riders made progress against no less than 5 overseas based Supercross riders offering the crowd some of the closest bar to bar racing seen in several years.
The 3-final race format ensured extra entertainment, racing near 5-minute sprint races for the SX2 class. Richardson and Webster were again affected by average starts early in the night, meaning they had to fight hard to make passes within the very tight circuit and short time frame.
Richardson showed some very good pace and was able to place 5-11-5 in the three finals, giving him a 7th overall for the round.
‰ÛÏYet again, I did not hit the starts the way I wanted but I was definitely pleased with my set-up and aggression on the track. Just amazing how competitive the class is this year, I sure am enjoying it,‰Û
