Bret Trigg Visual has released Episode 1 of Context; an all-new documentary series that will share honest, engaging stories from remarkable athletes within the Australian action sports community.
Episode 1 of Context features the raw and recognisable personality that is Josh Cachia; an incredibly talented motocross and supercross racer from Victoria who has been at the forefront of the Australian racing scene since his days on a 65. Josh experienced an outstanding Junior career, winning multiple Australian Junior Motocross Championship titles, and was widely anticipated to become one of Australia‰Ûªs most successful exports in his Senior years.
After claiming the 2011 Under 19s MX Nationals title, and finishing third in the 2012 MX2 title chase, Josh headed overseas to contest the 2013 AMA Supercross Championship with JDR Motorsports; fulfilling his childhood dream of racing in the USA.
His dream would soon become his nightmare, as an unfortunate turn of events saw Cachia stuck without a team to race for when JDR Motorsports was forced to permanently close its doors. Josh found a lifeline to contest the 2013 MX Nationals in Australia for Carlton Dry Honda, but he would suffer multiple wrist injuries over the next two seasons that would ultimately force him to cease racing professionally ahead of the 2015 MX Nationals.
After walking away from the sport he has loved since he was just 5 years old, Josh found himself at the bottom of the barrel, losing close friends and facing adversity that most would find hard to overcome. On a dark path, Josh found his way, and with support from his family and close friends, was able to rekindle his passion for racing and make a triumphant return to competition at the 2016 Austra- lian Supercross Championship.
