Osborne and Bobreshev on top at Brit MX Champs round 4

Posted:

Current championship leaders, Zach Osborne (Bike it Cosworth Yamaha) and Evgeny Bobreshev (CAS Honda) continued their current form and extended their leads as the 2010 Maxxis British Championship reached the halfway stage at Lyng, in Norfolk yesterday.

Whilst the Russian took a major step in the MX1 catagory by extending his lead over Stephen Sword (Buildbase CCM) to 33 points, (21 on the day), Osborne scored just one more point than his nearest rival, Jake Nicholls (HM Plant Red Bull KTM), who could easily of been on the top step of the podium, but for a small mistake in the opening moto.

It was a good day for the Bike it Cosworth Yamaha team as their second rider, Mel Pocock put in three strong rides scoring 2-3-3 to finish on the lower step of the podium to move into 5th in the championship. Martin Barr (PAR Honda) and Elliot Banks- Browne (DB Racing Honda) both scored well, Banks- Browne with some lightning starts whilst Barr frequently had to fight through the pack. At the podium ceromony, both Osborne and Pocock dedicated their performances to young Bradley Pocock, who broke his leg in the Free Practice session earlier in the day.

Osborne holds a lead of 25 points (one moto) in the MX2 category..

‰ÛÏA good result for the team and I am really pleased for Mel, even if he did trip me up in the first moto!‰Û
