Nowra Open Motocross Classic Lights Up the South Coast

The Nowra and District Motorcycle Club Ltd last Sunday (February 24) held the annual Nowra Classic Motocross Open, which included eight classes of competition held for both junior and senior riders. During the event Elias Dukes snared two second places in both the 85cc (9 to Under 12 Years Standard Wheel) and the 65cc (10 to Under 13 Years) classes and claiming a double win was factory rider Jay Marmont in both the Senior Lites and All Powers. The top three place getters for the 50cc went to Riley Dukes, followed by Calem Hevers and Corey Deornelas, while the first three competitors over the line for the 65cc (7 to Under 10 Years) were Jordan Hill, Joshua Strenger and Brenda Tanti, and a part from Elias Duke taking second in the 65 cc (10 to Under 13 Years) first and third was claimed by Kyle Moore and Callum Dunsmor. Elias Dukes filled second place in the 85cc (9 to Under 12 Years Standard Wheel) first and third placers were Aaron Tanti and Corey Ross, while the 85cc (12 to Under 16 Years Standard / Big Wheels) class witnessed Corey James, Dylan Willis and Luke Arnold stand on the podium in that order. Dylan Gosling, Errol Willis and Corey James dominated the 100/125 and 250cc (13 to 14 years), the 100/125 and 250cc (15 years) was taken out by Tye Simmonds who finished ahead of Calib Best and Luke Ross and with Jay Marmont winning both the Senior Lites and Senior All Power classes, other podium finishers included Luke Styke and Matt Haskins in the Senior Lites and in the Senior All Powers second and third went to Aden de Jager and Shay Bogg.
