New KTM Australian Enduro-x Nationals series Set for 2014

Posted:

RBP promotions have released details of a new three round national Enduro-X series to kick off early in 2014, that the Australian motorcycle industry, factory teams, and pro riders have agreed to participate in.

The series has been structured to be run after the summer break and before Australian Off Road Championships (AORC) giving both Australian and internationals a series show piece with $50,000 total prize money on offer.

After the 2013 Enduro-x event at Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne the organisers have been overwhelmed by the support from the Motorcycle industry, the riders and the public to take this exiting spectator sport to a national level.

‰ÛÏAfter two successful events in Melbourne and industry support growing, it was the logical next step to take the event to a semi national series," Promoter Dave Robbins stated. "Our sponsors have supported us; the riders enjoy the concept and the spectators like being up close to the action.

"With good venues and facilities close to capital cities it allows for greater crowd interaction, both on the track and in the open pit area. We have introduced a Saturday night event for Sydney to vary it up a little as the Sydney complex allows us to.

"With a compact series of 3 rounds lasting 4 weeks in duration it opens the door for many top international riders to compete against Australia‰Ûªs top riders," Robbins concluded.

KTM Australia has thrown their full support behind the series, with Jeff Leisk delighted with the growth of the discipline in such a short time frame.

‰ÛÏWe are delighted to be involved in this exciting concept of motorcycle racing in Australia." Leisk stated. "The sports growth in such a short time in Australia has been amazing.‰Û
