Honda Australia has announced two important appointments within their Motorcycle and Marine divisions. Glyn Griffiths, who is well known within industry circles, has been appointed to the position of Business Development Manager ‰ÛÒ Motorcycles, and will commence with the company next week. In his new role, Glyn will have key responsibilities for developing and implementing product management strategies in relation to Honda‰Ûªs 4-wheel motorcycle, personal watercraft (PWC) and motorcycle-related Government business. In addition to an impressive amount of experience and qualifications, Glyn previously worked for the company across a range of fields including accessories, racing, marketing and public relations. The role Glyn will be taking on was made available due to the movement of the incumbent, Mr Rod Day, to the new position of Business Development Manager ‰ÛÒ Marine. Based in Queensland, Rod will have key responsibilities in developing Honda‰Ûªs penetration of marine-related Government and OEM business, as well as servicing several key dealers in the Gold Coast/Brisbane precinct and building on established relationships with the marine media. This position will ensure that Honda outboard engines achieve maximum acceptance by dealers, boat builders, OEM‰Ûªs, press, Government and end users by providing the highest level of technical advice and support. Over the past 16 years, Rod has worked across both the Honda motorcycle and power equipment product range, commencing as a Territory Manager in NSW, and more recently in the role that Glyn Griffiths will now occupy. Honda Australia extends their congratulations on these appointments, and looks forward to working with both Glyn and Rod in the future.
