Motorex Oils Qld Supercross Championship Ready To Move Forward At Dundas

Posted:

After a disappointing cancellation due to low rider numbers for Round 1 at Haworth Park, Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2014 Motorex Queensland supercross are set to impress with the events fast approaching.
Round 2 on Saturday 22nd November at 115 Northbrook Parkway, Dundas, (Marshall Property) will begin track works and upgrades this Saturday 1st November.

‰ÛÏI‰Ûªm obviously really excited to be holding the event again this year after last years Championship was a big success." Event Promoter Robbie Marshall said. "We haven‰Ûªt changed too many things leading up to the event, but one major improvement that I‰Ûªm looking forward to this year will be the racing under lights.

"A night time event should create more atmosphere than last year, the twilight racing will be sure to impress, beating the heat of the day and making it more enjoyable for the spectators and everyone involved.

"I have to say a massive thanks to our major sponsors this year - Motorex Oils and Scott Bannan Concreting. Without these guys the Championship wouldn‰Ûªt have been able to go ahead. Also thanks to other sponsors this year - Yamaha, KTM, Honda, HA Manufacturers, Lusty Industries and Distributors, Kustom MX, Eyes on Brassal and Suomy Helmets.

While Marshall is looking forward to round two being a huge hit, he is still awaiting entries to flow in as the event draws near.

"We still really need the riders to support the last two rounds." Marshall continued. "I‰Ûªm not too worried at this stage, because I know riders enter last minute before the event. I just want everyone to keep in mind how tame we are making these tracks to suit all riders and they are a great opportunity to get your foot in the door for Supercross riding or racing.

"With the 85cc riders being able to compete this year, we have notably taken the smaller riders into consideration so we can grow our sport and have it enjoyable for everyone at the same time.‰Û
