Motorcycling NSW announces Australian Team Rider Grant
Cambell Williams - 85cc
Motorcycling NSW (MNSW) has announced the introduction of a $2000 grant to assist NSW-based riders selected to represent Australia in travelling to their designated international team event.

With four of the six riders selected to race the upcoming Junior Motocross World Championship in Italy coming from NSW, the timing couldn't be better for Ky Woods (65cc), Cambell Williams (85cc), Ryder Kingsford (85cc) and Blake Fox (125cc).

MNSW CEO Dave Cooke, said, "It's an honour to be selected to represent your country, and we're proud that so many riders across a range of disciplines have developed their skills within NSW clubs. Motorcycling NSW is working hard behind the scenes to grow each discipline that makes up competitive motorcycling racing across the state.

"This is just another step in supporting our riders to succeed at the highest level. On behalf of Motorcycling NSW, I'd like to congratulate all those riders who have been selected to compete internationally, and wish them the best of luck. We know that the $2000 grant isn‰Ûªt going to solve all of the problems associated with getting your team and your bikes overseas to compete, but we hope it goes some way towards helping our riders achieve their dreams."

Mother of Cambell Wiliams, Jaqueline Williams, was delighted with the initiative from MNSW "We're extremely proud to have Cambell selected to race for Australia. As a parent to junior racers, everything is funded by Mum and Dad, so every little bit of help is greatly appreciated. This support from our governing body is huge and puts our family in a much better position to support our children‰Ûªs racing as they progress in the sport. The team from Motorcycling NSW has been doing a tremendous job and we're excited for Cambell to race in Italy next month!"

The six-rider Australian team heading to the Junior Motocross World Championship, managed by Mark Willingham, also includes Alex Larwood (125cc) and Kayden Minear (65cc) who will all head to Pietramurata, Italy, to race on July 13-14 in one of the following three classes:
  • FIM Junior 65cc Motocross World Cup. Age restrictions: minimum 10 years of age and maximum 12 years of age.
  • FIM Junior 85cc Motocross World Championship. Age restrictions: minimum 12 years of age and maximum 14 years of age.
  • FIM Junior 125cc Motocross World Championship. Age restrictions: minimum 13 years of age and maximum 17 years of age.
