Joey Savatgy carded the best result for the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team with a 5th overall.
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki‰Ûªs Joey Savatgy, Garrett Marchbanks, and Austin Forkner each earned a season-best finish at Round 2 of the Pro Motocross Championship at Glen Helen Raceway.

Following a solid opening round, all three riders notched finishes in the top 10 with Savatgy in fifth with a 6-4, Marchbanks in eighth with a 7-10 and Forkner in 10th with a 13-6 moto scores.

After a good showing at Hangtown, Joey Savatgy backed it up with two come-from-behind motos in Southern California. In Moto 1, he got a good jump but was pushed back to eighth on the opening lap. With the riders running a similar pace, it was tough for him to move up much more than sixth. He got a better jump in Moto 2 but fell back to sixth on the second lap. Savatgy kept pushing and was able to break through to fourth to give him fifth overall.

‰ÛÏAll in all, today was a better day than the opening round, but we‰Ûªve got more to show and I‰Ûªm hoping to make it happen next week,‰Û

Team Rookie Garrett Marchbanks broke into the top ten with eighth overall with his 7-10 scores.
The young gun of the team continued to learn and improve in his first season as a pro. Garrett Marchbanks ran with Savatgy much of the opening moto and finished just behind his teammate in seventh. Moto 2 was a different story as he started back in 17th and worked hard to make a push to the front, eventually breaking into the top 10 to finish eighth overall with his 7-10 scores.

‰ÛÏOther than being in the top 10, a goal of mine is to learn something every time I‰Ûªm on the track,‰Û

Austin Forkner raced with sore ribs and had to come through from last in Moto1 but still ended the day with 10th.
Coming off a tough opening round, Austin Forkner was ready to race but still sore from hitting his ribs last weekend. To top it off, he started Moto 1 from near dead last but was quick to make up positions to salvage a good finish. In just one lap he went from 38th to 26th, eventually making it all the way to 13th to end the moto. Forkner didn‰Ûªt let the same start happen twice and nearly had the holeshot. He started up front and held on to a good finish of sixth to finish 10th overall.

‰ÛÏIt‰Ûªs good to get two motos in and run up front in the second moto,‰Û
