Team Honda114 Motorsports rider Mitch Evans delivered a brave performance at the MXGP of Trentino, Italy ‰ÛÒ battling through the pain of a qualifying race knee injury to finish 7th overall ‰ÛÒ only six points off a podium finish.

In his first visit to the iconic Italian venue it took Evans a little while to get used to the layout and considering his weekend started out on a downer with a qualifying race knee injury it turned around concluding with a top ten finish.

"I‰Ûªve not raced at Trentino before but it‰Ûªs a cool track," Evans said. "It just took me a while to learn it. I tweeked my knee in the qualifying race and that made it a struggle to come through the pack as it was a little one-line out there. But no excuses, I know what I need to do to improve.

"For the races, I strapped up my knee and pushed through the pain and got good starts. From 24th in the qualifying race to seventh overall today, I couldn‰Ûªt be any happier and really pleased with how Sunday went." Ebans concluded.

Evans now sits eighth in the championship heading into the next round on May the 12th in Mantova for the MXGP of Lombardia
