Mike Jones Sweeps ASBK Round 2 At Morgan Park

Posted:

Cube Racing Team pilot Mike Jones has swept the Yamaha Motorcycle Insurance Superbike class at the second round of the 2015 Yamaha Motor Finance ASBK Championship presented by Motul Pirelli.

In glorious sunshine at Morgan Park in Queensland, Jones was a comfortable victor on the day, taking impressive wins in both Superbike races.

JD Racing‰Ûªs Daniel Falzon finished the round in second (2nd and 2nd from his two races), while Ryan Hampton (Next Gen Motorsports) claimed third overall (4th and 3rd).

‰ÛÏI am very happy with how the weekend went - it was pretty much perfect from the beginning to the end ‰ÛÒ I was fastest I think in every single session, got the two race wins and the overall win so it‰Ûªs pretty much as good as it gets." Jones commented.

‰ÛÏI was comfortable on the bike and the XXX Rated Race Suspension have got the handling on the bike and the geometry going very well so it‰Ûªs easy for me to ride and I can do lap times pretty consistently so I‰Ûªm pretty happy with how that is.

‰ÛÏThis year it has been great to be part of the Australian Outdoor Living Cube Racing Team to give us the best that we can to do well in the Championship, and I am looking forward to the rest of the year.‰Û
