Welcome to MID WEEK MOTO Fullnoise.com.au's weekly look into all aspects in the world of dirt bike racing.

From the weekends racing results, to the more interesting and unusual happenings from the week gone by including some of the rumours and findings on social networks, we will take a look and anything and everything dirt bike related.

QUIET ON THE HOME FRONT: Things are a little on the home front when it comes to big National race meetings in Australia at the moment, though luckily that is about to change this weekend with an AORC round and we are now just two weeks away from the MX Nationals returning.

Bring back the racing already!

BOOTH ELLIOT CLEANS HOUSE IN SA: 19 Year old James Booth-Elliot who has been running in the MX1 class at this years MX Nationals as a privateer with some great performances, cleaned up at the Renmark round of the South Australian MX Titles last weekend.

James won all three races against the likes of Luke Arbon who still has plenty of speed and Daniel Banks to extend his points lead in the Pro Open class.

In the Lites class it was Banks who won the day after an impressive last to second ride in the opening moto followed by two moto wins, finishing ahead of Tyson Whillas and Shane Metcalfe for the round. Pro Lites points leader Jett Anderson missing the podium for the first time this year, though he still maintains a handy point lead with one round remaining.

LOUIS CALVIN TOPS THE WEST: KTM riders Louis Calvin and Reece Colgan both took the round wins in MX1 and MX2 respectively at the third round of the 2013 Smarter Than Smoking Healthways WAMX State Championships at Bunbury on Sunday with Anthony Pearce extending his lead in the Quad Championships.

PRE SEASON ENDURO-X: A new three round Enduro-X Series has been announced, which will be ran in the early months of 2014 and will give Australia's top Off-Road racers a championship to contend for in the lead up to the 2014 AORC.

The series is being ran by the same group of people who have successfully grown the Melbourne Enduro-X in to must do for the countries top riders. With rounds in Victorian, Queensland and New South Wales slated for next year, it is a great step forward for a discipline of racing that is gathering momentum around the world.

TRISERT SERIES: While the new three round Enduro-X series kicks off next year, a Tri-Series at the completely other end of the Off-Road racing scale kicked off last weekend in W.A.

The new three round Desert Racing series kicked off in Western Australia with KTM's Desert King, Ben Grabham taking the win ahead of, Rod Faggotter and Jake Wattling.

INTERNATIONAL:

CANADIAN THREE PEAT: Brett Metcalfe secured his third straight Canadian Motocross Championship round win with a 2-1 result at round four last weekend. After finishing second to his team mate in the opening moto, Metty made some setting changes on his KX450F and raced to the moto 2 win.

With a week off in the Canadian championship this weekend, Metcalfe with the help of Australian David Anthony, ADR Racing (AUSSIE DAVE RACING) will line up at the final ever race at Southwick this weekend.

For those thinking the ADR team sounds familiar, it is! Kade Mosig raced under the ADR banner during his AMA Supercross stint this year, and David Anthony also competes himself in the AMA Superbike Championship.

DUNGE AND BB MIX THINGS UP: Ryan Dungey and Blake Bagget mixed things up last weekend at round five of the Lucas Oils MX Championships, with Dungey grabbing his second overall win of the year in the 450 class and Bagget, the reigning 250 champion taking his first overall win for the year as he tries to repeat last years performance.

Bagget's win bodes well for the 250 class, it was looking like a three rider championship race, between the KTM duo of Ken Roczen who currently leads the points, Marvin Musquin who won rounds 3&4 and Honda's Eli Tomac. However Baggest win, shows he has the speed to run with the other three riders and after not losing to much ground over the opening five rounds, still has plenty of time to have a fair crack at this years title in the final seven rounds of the season.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO: The world's most infamous criminal, Carmen Sandiego, has reunited with her gang of henchmen and is up to her old tricks.

After being spotted at Highpoint for round four of the American Motocross Championships, she became the prime suspect when not ONE but TWO tablecloths went missing from the TwoTwo motorsports awning at the Highpoint round.

I personally did not hear about this grand theft until reading THIS THREAD on the VITAL MX Forum a week and a half after the event took place.

The good news is, the table cloths have been sighted. In a brazen attempt to get some priceless Chad Reed memorabilia, CARMEN SANDIEGO released the below video of three of her henchmen holding the Table Cloths hostage and demanding some of Reed's prized possessions for their safe return.

Stay tuned to Fullnoise.com.au as we follow this not so breaking news as it unfolds.

TRICKED IN TO SOUTHWICK: Mackenzie Tricker will line up at Southwick this weekend for the final round of the Womens, Triple Challenge (The 2013 Womens Motocross Championship).

After a solid opening round, Tricker was on her way to winning the opening moto at round two when she blew her knee out with just a couple of laps remaining. She was unable to line up for moto two and looked as though she may be sidelined for the remainder of the year with a serious knee injury.

While Tricker's knee is not 100%, she is going to try and ride this weekend, it will be a good indication for herself to see if she will be able to ride Loretta Lyn's a little later this year, which is one of her main goals of 2013.
