Welcome to MID WEEK MOTO presented by Fullnoise.com.au, our look into all aspects in the world of dirt bike racing.

While we have a host of news and press releases updated daily on the Fullnoise.com.au website there are always little bits of interesting, odd and not so true information floating around the traps!

With that in mind we are going to re-launch Mid Week Moto and solely focus on the smaller stories and more interesting rumors and topics that are floating around the pits and steer away from re-hashing the same news that can already be found in the news section.

There is no structure, just random bits of useful or not so useful information posted in the order we come across the information from week to week.
Jacob Wright and Tattoo Racing Part Ways
- After coming off a great 5th place finish at round two of the Monster Energy MX Nationals, Jacob Wright has parted ways with Tattoo racing.

In a further blow to Wright he also fractured his ankle at the Queensland MX Championships on the weekend. However despite the run of bad luck, he is planning on racing Wonthaggi as a privateer, though he is not sure just at the moment what bike he will be racing.
McCoy Out
- We have spoken to Daniel McCoy and he has confirmed that he will sit out the next three rounds of the MX Nationals after a practice crash left him with a damaged L2,L3 and T12.

It was a tough weekend for McCoy opting to go testing on Sunday after two frustrating days at the Qld titles. From all accounts some positives come from the weekend in the end, with McCoy and TM Racing finding some extra go out of their 250 two stroke. We will just have to wait until Swan Hill to see it.
Martin Davolos Injured??
- Rumours floating around the U.S message boards have Martin Davalos out of the running for the AMA 250 East SX Championship after a early week practice crash. Rumours are that he may have broken his leg or ankle.

Hopefully some more news comes to light soon and it is good news.
Ryan Villopoto to Skip Outdoors ?
- No we don't mean he is buying a skipping rope and heading outside! There are some strong rumours floating around the Villopoto will not only sit out the American motocross season, but may walk away from the sport for good at the end of the Supercross season.

We have read everything from it being due to a knee injury, a ankle injury, personal reasons or that he has made enough money and wants out. Got to love moto-boards and forums for some juicy rumours!

Hopefully this is nothing more than a nasty rumour and the rider who is set to become only the second rider in the history of the sport to wrap up his 4th straight AMA SX title will be on the start line at Glen Helen when the MX Championships kick off.
Happy Easter Husqvarna
- It was a good weekend to be on the White/Blue and Yellow bikes! In one weekend Husqvarna claimed, 3 class AORC rounds wins, one outright podium, Queensland Pro Open and Pro Lites Motocross Championship titles, NSW MX Championship Pro Lites round win, and the King of the Gulf at Port Pirie in South Australia.
2 V 4 in MX2
- The topic that has been simmering away under the surface over the past couple of years is now one of the hot topics in the sport. Where do you start with the arguments of having the 250 two and four strokes both in the MX2 class though, certainly some big positives and negatives each way!

There is one thing for sure, this topic would be so much more interesting if Australian dirt bike fans were still posting on forums. How much cooler would this topic have been 4-5 years ago!

No doubt Doova, Bigfella, Shanhard, KTMMAD, Pollock, Suby, Honda Babe, ASC, Fence Sitter, FTW, Ashleymx, WFO, SMX Industries, Stumpy, George Costanza, Al Bundy, Makker, bikerboi, MOSSY, scott411, Ward dog, DH46, MR 53 and a host of others would have some great opinions on this topic!
Fresh Bags -
- The 2014 OGIO catalogue is now online over at www.lustyindustries.com.au. Head over and check out the latest designs.
South Aus Celebrity
- There are some big rumours floating around in South Australia that there is a big name celebrity planning on racing the opening round of the South Australian MX Championship next weekend! Though the people in charge are keeping very tight lipped about it.

While some big name South Aussies are expected to line up, including Luke Arbon pictured above, one of the rumours has a rider from out side the state and maybe even the country lining up behind the start gates at Gillman!
Hattah Made Easy
- Entries for the 2014 edition of the Hattah Desert Race go live online on Thursday the 1st of May and will be capped again for this years event as it continues to grow in popularity.

While entries to this years race are not live for a couple more days, the supplementary regulations are up on the hosting clubs website and there is one big change for this years race.

The race that has traditionally been a 4 hour / 8 lap race has been reduced to 7 laps in 2014 and with the top runners the past few years pushing under or just above 25 minute lap times, this years event could be done and dusted under 3.5 hours!
