Australia‰Ûªs Hunter Lawrence will miss the what looks to be the remaining rounds of the 2019 American motocross championship after a training mishap overnight.

Posting via his social media accounts, Lawrence has confirmed that his bike locked up on a jump face, throwing the Geico Honda rider to the ground and leaving him needing medical attention.

While the former Queensland native has confirmed that he has suffered injuries that will keep him away from racing for an unspecified time frame, he will require more scans to completely assess the damage that he has done.

‰ÛÏSo a freak accident happened yesterday whilst I was out training and we had something break in the engine at the top of a jump up ramp and locked up, by the time I let go of the handlebars I was already lawn darting into the ground,‰Û
