Max Nagl going into Qatar with confidence

Posted:

Max Nagl has finishes third in Italian championship over the weekend and is now looking forward to the opening of the 2016 MXGP season in Qatar in two weeks.

Going into his thirteenth season the German has worked hard over the off season and starts his 2016 campaign fit and healthy and full of confidence. The final round of the Internazionali d'Italia MX 2016 being an ideal warm up for the upcoming world championship season

‰ÛÏWe got two great starts today and that was really important. It shows how good my Husqvarna is," the three time German Champion said of his podium in the Italian Championship. "Overall, I couldn‰Ûªt be any happier with the development of my FC 450."

With the opening round of the MX1 championship looming on the 27th of February the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider feels he has done the hard yards and is on the right path.

"We‰Ûªve worked hard during the past two weeks and I‰Ûªm feeling that we‰Ûªre on the right path for Qatar," the 28-year-old continued.

"In terms of my riding I felt OK today. We might lack a bit of speed but it‰Ûªs coming already week-by-week. The only thing to do now is to continue working to get faster. We have a week and a half before Qatar so there‰Ûªs a bit of time to prepare the last few details. Having everything in the right order gives me great confidence. I can‰Ûªt wait for the MXGP season to begin.‰Û
