Manuel Lettenbichler has been crowned the 2025 FIM Hard Enduro World Champion, sealing his fifth world title in spectacular fashion with a commanding victory on home soil at the GetzenRodeo in Germany.
The result, achieved in front of a packed and passionate crowd, marks Lettenbichler’s fourth consecutive Hard Enduro crown and confirms his dominance in the series with one round still remaining.
The action began on Friday with the traditional GetzenRodeo Prologue, where thousands of fans packed the hillside to watch the world’s best tackle the short but intense time trial. While Billy Bolt took the win, Lettenbichler clocked the third-fastest time, just seven seconds off the win, setting him up for a strong starting position heading into Saturday’s main day of racing.

When competition resumed with the morning’s GetzenRace qualifier, the German star was untouchable. Over 12 gruelling laps, he built a commanding lead to win by more than four minutes, earning three valuable championship points in the process. That set the tone for the afternoon’s GetzenChamp finale, where Lettenbichler rocketed off the start and quickly established control. Riding with precision and confidence, he extended his advantage to 12 minutes by the finish, lapping the rest of the field to claim a dominant home victory — and with it, the 2025 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship title.
“I really wanted to win it in front of my home crowd, and I honestly wasn’t even thinking about the championship at all,” said Lettenbichler. “It’s so special to win the championship here at Getzen — the crowd was insane, and I’m honestly speechless at how motivating they were. I felt like I was at my best today, and it paid off. I’m really proud of the whole Red Bull KTM team; they’ve worked so hard all year, so to clinch the title with one round to spare is incredible.”

Behind the champion, Mario Roman delivered a strong ride to claim second place for Sherco, the only other rider to complete eight laps within the time limit. The Spaniard almost got caught by Lettenbichler on the final loop but held his nerve to secure his fourth GetzenRodeo podium. “P2 at GetzenRodeo and already four podiums in this wild race,” said Roman. “Almost 10 years after my first one, I’m still fighting for the top spots and as motivated as ever. I love pushing myself and can only be grateful to do what I love most and have so much support.”

Rounding out the podium, Billy Bolt overcame a tough start to the weekend to finish third. After topping Friday’s prologue to earn pole position, the Brit struggled in the morning’s GetzenRace, finishing 11th and outside the points. Resetting for the afternoon, Bolt charged hard through the deteriorating terrain to climb into third place, securing valuable points to strengthen his hold on second in the championship standings.
“It’s been a difficult day for me here in Germany,” Bolt admitted. “I struggled a lot in the first race this morning, but we made some improvements and I was able to come through for third. Huge congratulations to Mani for wrapping up another championship — now I can focus on the last round and then look ahead to the indoors. The whole Getzen team have put on an amazing event again, and the fans were incredible.”
Britain’s Mitch Brightmore claimed a strong fourth place ahead of South Africa’s Matthew Green, while the result sees Bolt extend his advantage in the fight for the vice-champion position heading into the final round.
With one round remaining — the Roof of Africa in Lesotho from November 20–22 — Lettenbichler sits on 166 points, comfortably ahead of Bolt (123) and Brightmore (121). Roman holds fourth on 104, with Wade Young fifth on 97.
