M2R Unveil Team Australia MXoN Helmet and T-Shirt

Australia's own helmet company M2R have unveiled both the Australian designed Helmet and the team pit shirt that all three of our countries riders will wear throughout the 2013 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations being held at Teutschenthal, Germany.

Brett Metcalfe, Todd Waters and Dean Ferris will all run the same M2R X4 helmet with a One Fourteen Designed graphic, and the official team T-shirt that is being produced via a three way collaboration between M2R, Motorcycling Australia, and Loose Kid Industries.

To have all three riders making up the Australian team all with the backing of the same helmet manufacture is very rare and something that is not lost on M2R's brand manager Damien Irwin, from McLeod Accessories

"It is incredible to have all three Australian riders for this years MXoN in our helmets, we are stoked." Irwin told Fullnoise.com.au this morning. "It is something that I don't think has happened before and we are really pleased to be able to provide this unique helmet for our riders.

"It's awesome to have Australia's own helmet brand supporting all three Aussie team riders on the world stage."

M2R have a rich tradition of using Australian designers when it comes to designing the colour-ways and graphic designs that adorn their helmets.

M2R have a rich history of working with their athletes, designing custom and replica helmets like the one worn by Todd Waters during the 2013 MX Nationals season

The 2013 MXoN helmet is no different, with M2R working once again along side Australian design company, One Fourteen Designs, the same company that created the Symbol design for the current X4 helmet, along with the art work for the M2R/LKI RevX 3.2 Collaboration helmet.

"Matt Silvestro from One Fourteen had already done some fantastic design work for us with our current range of helmets and has once again done a great job with the MXoN helmet, we certainly look forward to continuing to work with him," Irwin continued.

"It is fantastic to have an Australian company do the design work for the Australian helmet. We have tried to work with Australian designers as much as possible since we (McLeod Accessories) bought the M2R brand back in 2007.

"We have have done a lot of work with many Australian designers, like Antman, Brownie (Mark Brown), and LA designs with the custom paint work on the Monster Energy Kawasaki riders helmets, so we are stoked to keep the tradition of having Australian Designs on our helmets.

While the MXoN helmet is currently just a one off design for the event, M2R are looking to put the custom look into full production if the public support is high enough.

"We would love to do this helmet as a production helmet, obviously these things take time. We have put to the Australian public this morning via Facebook and if the Australian public want it and we get an overwhelming response, we will go full steam ahead to make it happen," Irwin explained.

Along with the fantastic looking helmet, the team T-Shirt that the three riders will be in is another big collaboration between Australian companies that want to see our flag waved high this weekend in Germany.

"Having the guys in the T-Shirt is also fantastic. We wanted to do something to celebrate having our riders over in Germany representing Australia.

"We spoke to Motorcycling Australia, then also spoke to Jason Daniel from LKI and it all came together giving the team something that they can all be seen in together that really promotes Australia.

"We also have the Team Australia T-Shirt available for fans to order through their local M2R dealer" Irwin concluded.
