Life with a Sherco 300 two-stroke

Sherco 300 - Always Moto
The French connection in all of its glory

Our Fullnoise test rider, David Hogan, has been living with a French beauty for a few months now. The relationship started out slowly, with a few bumps along the way.

But like many relationships, once you work out each other’s kinks, communicate openly about your needs, and put in that extra effort, things tend to play out quite nicely.

David switched to the 2023 Sherco SE300 model as a way of trying something different. As a long-time KTM rider in need of a fresh start after his major injuries, the Sherco presented itself as a suitable option to assist him in his return to riding and racing.

David discusses his experiences with the Sherco 300 Two Stroke over the past 7-8 months on this episode of the Always Moto podcast. Before you hit the play button, be warned: this is not your usual bike review fluff. David delves into the nitty-gritty, sharing things that went wrong, things that are still a work in progress, and how, after all, he has learned, he remains impressed and intrigued by the French beauty now living in his shed.

The Sherco’s Motor is very well equipped in stock form

If you’re ready to hear both the good and the bad aspects, jump in and listen to this episode. You might learn something new about the bike. Maybe you can avoid some of the pitfalls thanks to David’s insights. Perhaps you’ll finally take the plunge and switch to the French-produced Sherco range of dirt bikes.

To find out more about the Sherco Range. Head over to their website.

The Sherco 300 Two Stroke is a well-equipped machine from the factory. With KYB suspension, Excel Rims, FMF Pipe and VForce reeds amongst some of the standard components.
