Kyron Bacon has re-signed with MGR Racing for 2026 after a breakout debut season marked by race wins, ISDE success and a strong partnership with the team.

The MGR Racing Team has confirmed that Kyron Bacon will remain with the squad for the 2026 season, continuing a partnership that delivered a breakthrough year in 2025 — despite the Tasmanian’s campaign being disrupted by a fractured ankle late in the season.

The 22-year-old’s first year with MGR was nothing short of impressive, highlighted by a double victory in Portugal in the Junior Class, a strong second overall in Sweden, and a podium finish with Team Australia in the Junior World Trophy at the ISDE. His form on the Kawasaki KX300 established him as one of enduro’s rising stars and a genuine future title threat.

Team principal Enrico Garelli said the decision to continue with Bacon was an easy one, noting both his professionalism and potential. “I am very happy to continue working with Kyron. We’ve had a great relationship with him this year — he’s worked hard and shown great commitment,” he said. “At the Six Days of Bergamo, he provided excellent performance. We’ve proven that we have what it takes to fight for the title, and that’s exactly what we’ll aim to do.”

Kyron Bacon’s campaign was interrupted by a fractured ankle sustained in training before the Portuguese EnduroGP round, cutting short his season but not his ambitions for next year.

However, the Tasmania’s season took an unexpected turn ahead of the penultimate EnduroGP rounds when he fractured his ankle during training on the Sunday before the Portuguese GP. Although he attempted to push through — lining up for Friday’s Super Test and starting the opening test on Saturday — he quickly realised the injury was more severe than expected.

The setback ruled him out of the remainder of the Portuguese round and put his participation in the final two events — Italy (26–28 September) and Germany (17–19 October) — in doubt, cutting short a season that had promised so much after his dominant start in Fafe.

Despite the injury, Bacon and MGR are already locked onto their objectives for next year. For 2026, the team will target a full campaign in the FIM EnduroGP World Championship, a strong showing in the Absolutes of Italy, and a determined push for the title.

With his speed proven, his confidence intact and his recovery underway, Bacon and MGR Racing are gearing up to again position themselves among the top contenders on the world enduro stage.
