Round 5 of the 2025 Australian Motocross Championship (ProMX) delivered more than just results for Kyle Webster—it showcased a brave and determined ride from the Factory Honda Racing MX1 rider, who fought through injury to claim a hard-earned second overall.
Coming into the round just days after a heavy crash that left him with a bruised back and broken bones, Webster defied the odds. Despite a fall in Race 1 that limited him to third place, he came back swinging in Moto 2 with one of his strongest rides of the season.
“You can’t crash in this class and expect to win. That cost me in Race 1,” Webster explained. “But I regrouped. The pain faded as soon as the gate dropped in Race 2. Winning that race was crucial to our championship hopes.”
The second moto win secured Webster second overall for the round, keeping his championship hopes alive as the series moves into its second half.
Team Director Yarrive Konsky acknowledged the incredible resilience Webster has shown throughout the season. “Just this past week, Kyle suffered another heavy crash, bruising his back and breaking bones. Yet here we are. Not one of them quit,” Konsky said. “These results mean so much more because of what we’ve had to overcome. You can’t beat people who refuse to give up.”
Now sitting second in the MX1 standings, Webster has shown he’s still very much in the fight for the 2025 title.
