American off-road star Kyle Redmond thoroughly enjoyed his visit to Australia where he competed in the weekend‰Ûªs Super Enduro-X event at the V8 Supercar Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.
The Husqvarna mounted rider notched up a win and pair of podiums in his heats and finished Sunday up with a 2-3 result, spending most of the weekend battling it out with team-mate Mike Brown and KTM mounted Cody Webb.
‰ÛÏI had a fun time," the 28 year old enthused. "The track was pretty crazy, but I got pretty used to it fast and I had a really good day on Friday. I had a win and was up front the whole race, then in the third race Cody got me on the last lap.
"I pushed pretty hard and blew myself out for the final, and it seemed like yesterday I was riding really timid and pretty sore, obviously, having no bike time. Then today I was able to push again and have a second and a third, so I was happy. There were so many people here it was awesome, the crowd was big!
"The Australian riders are all super-fast, every time I‰Ûªve been over here there‰Ûªs always been real fast guys, so it was a good challenge. A couple of weeks ago I was sitting on my couch wanting to come here and I‰Ûªm glad I came, and made some money! My bike is amazing, coming off what I was on the last two years, I couldn‰Ûªt go into a race any more unprepared, and I was on a bone stock bike, so it just shows the competitive they are right out of the box," Redmond concluded.
