This weekend the penultimate round of the Motul MX Nationals will take place at the picturesque Echo Valley Raceway in Toowoomba, and joining the Championship categories as the Support class at Round 9 will be the KTM Amateur Cup.
The Amateur Cup caters for senior riders on all powered bikes who have not finished in the top seven in the Amateur Cup championship within the last three years, and who have not finished within the top five positions of single races in either MX1 or MX2 in the past two years.
With KTM Australia once again taking up the naming rights to the class, the two round title is set to impress the crowds at Toowoomba, and one competitor who is relishing in the opportunity, is local rider Kerrod Morrissy.
‰ÛÏI really enjoyed racing the 125 Cup Class this year, and I wanted to continue riding without all the added pressure, so the Amateur Cup class was a perfect fit for me,‰Û
