Kale Makeham Ruled Out Of Jimboomba

Posted:

Team Motul Suzuki's Kale Makeham will miss the second round of the Australian Supercross Championship being held in Jimboomba this Saturday night due to injury.

Atthe opening round of the 2015 championshp last weekend Makeham was left him with a nasty ankle injury that included a small fracture and ligament damage after he miss timed a rhythm section during practice.

While able to complete the opening round, the Victorian rider has not been able to put any weight bearing pressure on the ankle all week and has had to make the tough decision to miss this weekends round of action with the hope of returning for round three at Wayville on the 31st of October.

"Unfortunately I won't be racing this weekend," Makeham commented. "At this point in time I have not been able to put any weight on my ankle"

"We have made the decision to sit out this weekends race and hopefully will return for round three in a few weeks time." Makeham added.
Matt Moss will be aiming to make it eight on the trot at Jimboomba
While Makeham is out of action, his team-mate and two time regining supercross champion, Matt Moss will be taking aim at his eigth straight national supercross round victory when the gates drop in Queensland.

Moss walked away with every main event win in 2014 and is looking to do the same this season.

"I cannot wait to get back out on track this weekend," Moss enthused. "The aim will be the same as every time I get behind the start gate, Ill be aiming for another clean sweep on Saturday night and want to walk away with an increase in the points lead."

Moss along with a handful of other riders had the opportunity to ride the Jimboomba Supercross track just over two weeks ago as part of a medial launch for the venue, with Moss confident that this track will be one of the best ever seen in Australia and is expecting a huge night of entertainment, that he himself is looking to play a massive part in.

"I am looking forward to racing on the Jimboomba track, we cut a few laps there at a press day a couple of weeks back and the layout was a lot of fun. With a couple of tweeks they have made to the track it should be perfect for racing"

"Scott and his team have gone all out to make this round the best Australian Supercross ever seen, is going to be a big night." Moss added.
